Thomas Titan Families,

Thank you, parents and families, for taking the time to be engaged in your student’s education. We also honor all veterans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

A few notes for November:

• Thomas has after school programs and activities from 3:30 – 5:15 p.m. Sign up through FinalForms. Transportation home is provided.
• Veterans Day Assembly is on Friday, November 7th at 9:50 a.m. in the gymnasium. Please attend if you have the time.
• Winter 1 sports begin November 10th. Wrestling, Boys’ Soccer, and Girls Basketball. Sign up through FinalForms.
• Thomas’s Veterans Day Concert is Monday, November 10th at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium.
• Book Fair: November 10th – 14th.
• BIG EVENT this month: Student Led Conferences
  Conferences are on November 19th, 20th and 21st. Conference days and times are open in Skyward for you to sign up. Conference times begin at 1:30 p.m. and are flexible with after-school hours. Conferences are in-person unless a virtual conference is preferred. Families and students will conference with their students’ advisory teacher. Thank you for supporting your student’s growth and development.
• Wednesday, November 19th at 9:15 a.m. is the Principal/Parents Coffee and Conversation in the library.
• November 26th is an early release day followed by Thanksgiving break on November 27th and 28th. This is time for Titans to demonstrate academic, social, and community behaviors with a Thankful Heart.

Discuss with your children the following Titan learning habits.

• Be an active listener
• Take classroom learning notes
• Ask clarifying questions
• Complete assignments
• Be to class on time
• Attend school every day
• Bring an attitude that reflects a Best Self and Best Work frame of mind.

Please partner with us as we encourage students to see themselves as lifelong collaborative learners who demonstrate great character and leadership, at school, at home, and in the community.

We appreciate our military families serving at JBLM and on deployments around the world. We are thankful and have a deep appreciation for our Veterans.
