April greetings to our Thomas families,
Please partner with us in encouraging your child to show their best self and do their best work at school and at home. As parents, we set the tone for how our children learn, grow, and treat others.
Positive and open lines of communication with our children are important to their development. Taking the time to talk with our kids helps them feel valued, heard, and supported. Consider gathering as a family and having an encouraging conversation around one of these topics:
- What was something that made you smile or feel proud this week?
- Is there anything that’s been on your mind that you’d like to share?
- What’s something you’re looking forward to or working toward?
Let it be a time to really listen, celebrate small wins, and offer gentle guidance when needed. These check-ins create strong bonds and remind our children that they can always come to us as parents, no matter what.
April is Month of the Military Child. We recognize that military children face challenges with frequent moves and coping with deployments. Purple Up Day is April 15th. Purple clothing and attire will demonstrate support for our military students and families for the day.
